How do I sign up for government payments with direct deposit?

There are two ways to receive direct deposit payments from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or Revenu Québec:

1. Sign in to your online bank.
2. Select Products and services in the menu on the left. Then select the Bank accounts section.
3. Click Start under the Direct deposit registration section.
4. Follow the instructions.

From your National Bank app:

1. Sign in to the National Bank app.
2. Expand the main menu and click on your name (Profile and preferences) and select Settings.
3. Under Settings, click Direct deposit with the CRAorRevenu Québec and follow the instructions.

Good to know: We do not process any of the applications submitted. Your registration will be forwarded to the CRA and/or Revenu Québec, who will process your file according to their deadlines.
